On October 8th, United Academics ratified the first collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the University of Oregon, following prior approval by President Gottfredson. After many months of negotiation, the university leadership is pleased with the terms of the contract and its advancement of academic excellence at the university. Contract implementation is underway and some terms of the contract are being implemented immediately; however, others will take more time as the University and the faculty in consultation with United Academics develop policies and procedures mandated by the CBA.
Our commitment is to provide clear and timely communications to the University community during the implementation process. We do not have answers to every question today, but as we work through implementation we will provide timely updates so that we all have current information.
